So I told you in my Life Update: Things Need to Change post that myself and Darren have signed ourselves up to a 10k run in November, which is actually for Movember (MoRunning).

Since that post we have gone on a few runs here and there but on Sunday night we went on our most productive run yet, which resulted in us running a total of 4.7k. Now that is one big ass achievement for me! I have never been so proud of myself and it actually made me think for the first time “I CAN do this 10k run!“, I usually only run for about 1k but I ran nearly 5 flipping’ K!!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA WHITE AND PINK ADIDAS RUNNING TRAINERSYou start to notice little differences when you add more exercise into your daily routine, like your heart rate. As you may know I have a Fitbit Alta HR that I wear day in, day out and that has helped me to keep an eye on my heart rate and to my surprise it has actually got a lot better.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA FITBIT ALTA HR REVIEW HEART RATE FITBIT APP RESTING BPMSo as you can see from the app, at the start of the week my heart rate was 69 resting bpm and at the end of the week it had down gone to 66 resting bpm. It might not be much but like I said, you start to notice the little things. I guess we all have to start somewhere, right? 🙂

The actual day of the run is 18th November, so there are a few weeks to go and plenty of time to get myself to 10k during our training. I will keep you updated weekly on my progress and hopefully next week I will have a bigger achievement to share with you. Wish me luck!!

I hope you have the best day & be happy.
Lots of love, Xandra Rose 🙂
